Management of a Primary Cardiac Neoplasm with Tumor Blush by a Stent Graft.

چکیده
UNLABELLED Primary cardiac tumors are rare. When they do occur, their symptoms and signs depend on the location and size of the tumor. Imaging multimodalities play an important role in evaluating cardiac tumors. "Tumor blush" is a specific character of certain cardiac tumors on coronary angiography. The current treatment of these tumors is associated with observed clinical symptoms, and the main treatment option is surgical resection. Coronary stent grafts have been used for treatment of coronary artery perforation, coronary pseudoaneurysm, and coronary artery fistula. In this article, we presented a 53-year-old woman who had a cardiac tumor with tumor blush complicated by pericardial effusion which was medically managed by use of a stent graft. KEY WORDS Cardiac neoplasm; Stent graft; Tumor blush.

Management of a large coronary artery aneurysm with graft-coated stent during the acute phase of myocardial infarction
Coronary aneurysms in adults are rare clinical entities. Herein, we presented a 54-year-old man who was admitted with an acute extensive anterior myocardial infarction. The emergency coronary angiography revealed an isolated large aneurysm at the proximal segment of the left anterior descending coronary artery. The patient was successfully treated with a graft-coated stent

Although cardiac tumor is rare, cardiac myxoma is the most common primary cardiac tumor in adults (50%-70%). Myxoma, as a benign neoplasm, can develop in any chamber of the heart the most common site being the left atrium (75%) with an overall incidence of about 0.5/million/year. Nowadays echocardiography plays a crucial role in early precise diagnosis and treatment and, therefore, prevents lif...
متن کاملThermo-mechanical behavior of shape memory alloy made stent- graft by multi-plane model
Constitutive law for shape-memory alloys subjected to multi-axial loading, which is based on a semi-micromechanical integrated multi-plane model capable of internal mechanism observations, is generally not available in the literature. The presented numerical results show significant variations in the mechanical response along the multi loading axes. These are attributed to changes in the marten...
متن کاملPrimary Intracranial Malignant Nerve Sheath Tumor in the Cerebellopontine Angle in a Woman with Neurofibromatosis Type 2
Neurofibromatosis type 2 is an inherited disease. The main manifestation of the disease is the development of symmetric, non-malignant brain tumors in the region of the cranial nerve VIII usually as schwannoma. We report here a 20-year-old woman with primary intracranial malignant nerve sheath tumor located in the left cerebellopontine angle. Histologically, the tumor showed malignant spindle c...
متن کاملGiant cell tumor of patella: A case report and review of literature
Objective: Patella is a sesamoid bone which develops in the quadriceps tendon. It is an uncommon site for neoplasms. The most common primary tumors which involve patella are benign. These include chondroblastoma, giant cell tumor (GCT) and aneurysmal bone cyst. Malignant lesions are less common in patella. These encompass metastasis, osteosarcoma and hemangioendothelioma. The most common compla...
